Rush Hour 6:18 PM
Rush Hour 6:18 PM, Elk, CA
Elk is a beautifully scenic town located on Greenwood Cove south of Mendocino and the sea stacks just off the coast remind me of Oregon. I know the Matson’s who have run the local garage since the beginning of the last century and also have a charming mercantile run by three of the family daughters. The title is a bit of humor since Highway 1 can be very busy here especially in the summer, but on this day in October only one car with a trailer is on the road.

Workmanship and Quality
My matted works are printed on Moab Juniper Baryta 305 paper using Canon Lucia pigment Inks. The matting and backs are conservation quality and are assembled by me (or my wife) with acid-free tapes. This combination has an expected 30-plus year life span without fading or degradation. Framed works, of course, include the same matting. All matted photographs fit in standard sized frames available in many art supply stores and from online retailers.
My frames are exhibition-style Nielsen-Bainbridge anodized aluminum radials, slightly rounded, for a classic look. The glazing is anti-UV acrylic which is lighter and more durable than glass and helps further preserve the image. The hanging hardware is pre-installed. If you compare the price of comparable framing from your local framing store, you will find my pricing to be extremely competitive.
